"The Facility" part 2

Welcome back, I closed my last segment with the moment ink hit paper...we signed all pertinent information and the deal was complete. I had just become the owner of Chipper Jones 10th Inning Baseball, and the first question that came to mind was what the heck do I do now? Those answers never came easily, right from the beginning it became a struggle to decide whether this or that will work, how will students take any change, how  parents will perceive the change, will "this" hurt us? I had absolutely ZERO background in business, my expertise was and is baseball, so I just had to take my bumps and bruises along side my partners and co-workers. Our first major decision came to us rather quickly, do we or do we not change the name of the business? For me the choice was easy, we would no longer be able to use Chipper as a marketing tool, so the change was happening. I spent days throwing ideas out to friends and family, the one the stuck for me was Lights Out Baseball...with my luck it was taken. First Strike Baseball was the idea of my Father, David Shanahan. There it was, hopefully the start of a baseball empire.
